It will be fine if your app will log errors.
I can't connect to AD through your ldap settings and I don't know how to debug it.
At least it could show something in UI. Now I just see invalid login/password what it doesn't make any sense. And UI in v2 shows me active ldap connection which is non sense.
I have this problem with version 1 and also 2.

The UI in v2 shows whether the LDAP strategy is active or not. It's not a connection status to the LDAP server.
Since beta build 180, you can enable the "LDAP Debug" flag under Developer Tools > Flags in the Administration Area. This will output detailed info about any error that happens during the login to the console / logs.
