Templates / Content Transclusion - Infoboxes

Have a template or transclusion function, just like in MediaWiki(https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Templates), which would give people the ability to create infoboxes or other types of templates that are used on many other wikis.

page embedding
Maarten Berkenbosch
I want to document some software code and would like to write one page that defines an object with properties. Then in multiple other pages, I want to reference this object page by embedding it in other pages.
This way I only have to change the object page in order to keep all other pages up to date.

Include Markdown Files

When markdown files need to be repeated in multiple articles, INCLUDE block can be used.
Here is better description: https://dotnet.github.io/docfx/docs/markdown.html?tabs=linux%2Cdotnet#include-markdown-files

Agree, it will be great

This would be very useful. Asciidoc offers "include" functionality, but the limited version of Asciidoc in Wiki.js does not support that feature.

Sometimes you want the same information from one page on multiple pages. Something like Bookstack has https://www.bookstackapp.com/docs/user/reusing-page-content/ or Confluence has https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-the-include-page-macro/
This will prevent information being wrong when changing it on 1 page, but not the other.

render specified portion of another page by Selection range

Useful if you want a Wiki Page that collects and displays only selected information which lives in a more appropriate dedicated location. Allows for streamlined presentation optimized to specific scenarios by eliminating any manual duplication maintenance for correlated information.
Example, a Printing procedural reference, but which shows key points which are selected from a different more robust & dedicated "All things Printer installation/configuration etc." page.

So kinda like an embed/iframe of another page? That would be nice!
Jim Bridger
seems very necessary for a wiki
