As MongoDB is only available for 64 bits systems, providing an alternative storage system would allow installation on a broader range of systems (like Raspberry Pi). Maybe use simple .md or .txt files (like DokuWiki does) to allow for easy backup and import.

Update: Wiki.js 2.0.0 will switch to PostgreSQL + Redis.

All content is already stored in .md files. However, putting logins, sessions, directory cache, etc. on disk would be too slow.

I'm still thinking on whether to move to RethinkDB, move to Sequelize (MySQL/MSSQL/PostgreSQL/SQLite) + Redis or stay with MongoDB + Redis. The first 2 options would run on Raspberry Pi just fine.
