As the manager of a wiki that creates articles that may coincide with unreleased features of a software, I would be incredibly grateful to see a feature that allows me to "hide" or not publicize certain pages. This will allow my staff to create articles for unreleased features, compile information, then release the article when the feature is officially released

A workaround currently is to use the git storage backend and create a branch with the article drafts. you can work on them in the branch and when they are ready to publish simply merge the branch!
