It would be great to add support for LaTeX to the wiki, its useful when someone must document work with mathematical background

Any tips on how to invoke KaTex for inline formulae?

symbols (inline) or

symbols (block). Here is an example:

Module is ready and will be available in 2.1. It's using KaTeX and supports both inline and block formatting.

Agreed! Wiki.js is a great tool, and this is the one feature which is lacking for me in v2. I'm going to begin using Wiki.js before LaTeX support, but it may be a deal breaker for some academics/statisticians/data scientists.
When you guys decide to begin on this feature, please consider using KaTeX (https://katex.org/) over MathJax. There's an informative 8-month old HN thread here (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=19475273).
