Version in Document History

Currently, only the global ID of the document and the number of versions in the document's version tree are stored in the document history. It would be helpful if there were a version number for each individual version so that versions can be better identified in the context of certifications and audits.

I agree. I would like to be able to assign my own name to specific versions in the document history. (ex. rev-A draft, rev-A release).
